This guy seems to have a serious case of foot in mouth disease ( thank you captain obvious .Ed)

He first became known on the web for an op-ed in the NYT where he admitted to not only suppressing news about Saddams' atrocities out of fear for CNN employees ( AND CNN access) in Iraq but also of warning King Hussein of Jordan about Udai Hussein threats against him .

This was funny because he also ridiculed the Iraqis' suspicion that he was a CIA operative

apparently in his eyes whitewashing one arab regime while informing on it to another arab regime is OK but telling anything of substance to your government OR your viewers is like totally beyond the pale.

I don't mind ( all that much) that he thinks that way
being seduced by the powerful and the exotic is an old theme
But saying it out laud ...? not understanding how it would look to those who are not intimate with kinglings and machomen .
