LGF links to an article in Pakistan Today that says basically that the radical muslims (and isn't it about time we settled on a short and snazzy name for those fucks? nazi and red were so much better) hate the USA and the Jews/Israel because they both stand for freedom ( of the mind first and most of all) and there is nothing totalitarians hate more than free people.
That made me think of Europe and the recent revival of anti-semitism
Might it be that in a Europe that turns to bureaucracy instead of democracy a people that stand for freedom would be hated? that in some way the jews are perceived by the euro-elites as an obstacle to the establishment of an all encompassing and non elected european government ?
It's obvious why the USA being such a big counter example would be hated by people with that "vision" but why the jews? I can't explain it but it is worth noticing that the more "euroholic" a country is ( like France or the Scandinavian countries) the more strident is their anti-semitism while the more euro-skeptic countries ( like the UK or Italy) are much more relaxed in their obligatory Israel bashing.
I'm not saying all the other reasons suggested by so many others (guilt , politics , oil )for the re-emergence of the ancient hate are wrong or unimportant I'm just adding another brick to the wall.
